Privacy policy

Pulsio Ltd is the data controller of the personal information we hold about you. We're registered in England and Wales (company number 13147649). Our registered office is International House, 64 Nile Street, London N1 7SR, United Kingdom.

This policy follows the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and any legislation that replaces or amends them. All personal information is kept on secure servers.

Personal information, or personal data, is any information about a person that can be used to identify them. It doesn't include anonymous data, where everything that could identify someone has been removed.

When you shop with us at pulsio.co.uk, we ask for and collect personal information such as your name, billing and delivery address, phone number, email address, the items you order and your payment details.

We, and third-party advertising providers, may also collect information about your visit to pulsio.co.uk. This can include your rough location, how you found us (for example a search engine or one of our emails), your browser and device, the pages you view, how long you stay and anything you search for.

We use your information to make shopping with us as easy and enjoyable as possible:

• to process your order, including delivery, payment and returns
• to share your delivery details with our delivery partners, for delivery only
• for statistical analysis, so we can keep improving our website, products and service
• to help detect and prevent fraud

We'll email you with updates about your order. We may also email you if there's a problem with your order or we need to talk to you about a refund.

If you've signed up to hear from us, we'll also send you news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any of our emails.

Right of access. You can ask us to confirm whether we're processing your data and request a copy of it. Just email support@pulsio.co.uk.

We'll provide the first copy free of charge. We may charge a reasonable admin fee if a request is clearly unfounded or excessive, or for further copies of the same information. That doesn't mean we'll charge for every later request.

Without delay, and within one month of your request (longer in some cases), we will:

• confirm what personal data we hold about you
• give you a copy in a commonly used electronic format, if you asked electronically
• provide any supporting information that helps explain it

If a request is complex, or you've made several, we can take up to two more months. If so, we'll tell you within one month of receiving your request and explain why.

Data portability. As well as your right of access, you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you in a commonly used, machine-readable format.

Correction and erasure (the right to be forgotten). You can ask us to correct or delete information you think is inaccurate or no longer needed.

If someone you've asked to act for you requests your data, we'll contact you directly to confirm the request, using the email address you gave us when you signed up or ordered. We'll only send the data to that email address.

We'll provide your data to the police or another relevant government body if they formally ask us to.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We use cookies (small files stored by your browser) and similar technologies to understand how people browse and shop on our site, for example which pages are visited and whether a purchase is made. You can manage your choices in the cookie banner on our site, or change your browser settings to stop cookies being stored.

Do Not Track (DNT) is a browser setting that asks websites not to track your browsing. Tracking is used for many reasons, from social and advertising networks measuring how well ads work to analytics services such as Google Analytics that help us improve the site.

There's currently no agreed industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT, so we don't currently respond to DNT signals. This includes analytics identifiers in our marketing emails, if you've chosen to receive them. We'll keep this under review.

Our website and checkout use secure, encrypted connections (the padlock in your browser), so your information can't be read by anyone else while it's being sent. Card payments are handled by our payment providers, and we never see or store your full card details.

We keep your personal information for no longer than we need it for the purpose we collected it. This reduces the risk of it becoming inaccurate, out of date or irrelevant. Information we no longer need is securely deleted. Different types of data are kept for different lengths of time, but the longest we will normally hold any personal data is 1 year from your last order with Pulsio, as required by existing legislation.

When you email us, we keep your emails and our replies from the most recent conversation for 1 year. If they relate to a financial transaction, such as an order, we may keep them for 7 years.

If you don't give us certain information when we ask for it:

• we may not be able to fulfil your order or carry out other parts of our contract with you
• we may be unable to meet our legal obligations
• you may not be able to use some interactive parts of our site
